Parent Partnerships

At Sandhills we recognise that parents are children’s first and most enduring educators. We also understand that when parents and practitioners work together in early years settings, the results have a positive impact on individual children’s development and learning.

In order to achieve this partnership, we aim to provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for children and their parents. Parents are encouraged to communicate with their child’s key person regularly, via daily handovers and parents’ evenings, to ensure the needs of the child, are paramount. This regular communication will enable the Nursery staff to plan for and record children’s progress, in order to support them, to flourish.
